Cost of Application: (Including Entrance Examination Fee): Rs. 1000/-

Application form and prospectus can be obtained from THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAINAGAR - 608002 from 30-12-2010 onwards on payment of prescribed fee noted above in Person (OR) by sending a Demand Draft obtained on or after 27-12-2010 drawn in favour of THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAINAGAR from ANY BANK payable at CHENNAI along with a self addressed stamped Thick Kraft envelope of size 30 cm x 24 cm (stamps affixed to the value of Rs. 40/-) with the name of the Programme for which the application is required should be superscribed boldly on the envelope. The Name of the Programme should be clearly indicated in the requisition letter. The Name and Address of the Candidate and Programme for which application is made should be clearly indicated on the back side of the Demand Draft also.

Annamalai University:

Annamalai University is the state university in Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1929 and very well known for its excellent courses in various fields like Arts, Science, Indian Languages, Engineering and Technology, Agriculture, etc. The university is expanding consistently in terms of infrastructure and academic courses. The institute initialized by the countless efforts of Dr. Annamalai who started Sri Meenakshi College in 1920.

University has got very long history which puts excellent growth of the institute in front of us. Government of Madras granted University status to Meenakshi College thus becoming centre of unitary and residential university. University did tremendous work in the rural areas and thus founder was gratefully honored by Madras Government.

Annamalai University is one of the oldest and largest universities in the state and it has had a very good fortune of having guidance of extra-ordinary vice-Chancellors. There are over forty-five departments in the university and over 2,500 members of teaching staff. It holds the record for teaching most of the students through postal way.

Students passed out from this university have become great academicians and researchers in India as well as foreign countries. Annamalainagar has grown up as a demanding and full-fledged university town located at the east of Chidambaram. The university property occupies the area of around one thousand five hundred acres which includes colleges, hostels and playgrounds. 

The university offers over 380 courses under the criterion of distance education which are recognized all over the world. This university also has great success rate which proves its capability and quality. The DDE of university offer distance education to those students who are not able to attend the campus due to some reason but eager to take education with intensity. In 2005, it opened a small campus at Toronto, Canada and has overseas centers at Dubai, Sharjah and Muscat.
