Common Entrance Examination for Design, CEED
CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) is the all India examination organized by IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Mumbai, for Ministry of Human Resources Development, for Government of India. The purpose of the CEED is to evaluate candidate’s ability for drawing skills, design, visual perception ability, creativity, communication skills and logical reasoning.

CEED is the qualifying examination to following postgraduate programs for designing.
Master of Design Programs
IIT Mumbai: M.Des for Mobility & Vehicle Design, Animation, Interaction Design, Industrial Design and Visual Communication
IISc Bangalore: M.Des for Product Design & Engineering
IIT Guwahati: M.Des.
IIT Kanpur: M.Des for Industrial Design
IIT Delhi: M.Des for Industrial Design
Ph.D Programs in Design

Eligibility
• Bachelor's degree of Engineering, Interior Design, Design, Architecture or equivalent
• Professional Diploma for Design (CEPT/NID or equivalent)
• B.F.A. (4 years specialized program, subsequent to 10+2)
• G.D. Art (5 years program subsequent to 10th standard) having 1 year specialized experience
• Master’s degree for Arts, Science, or Computer Applications
Prior to applying of CEED, candidates should guarantee themselves they are qualified to look for admission to precise program they are fascinated in. There isn’t any limit for candidate appearing for CEED and also any attempt restrictions.
Examination
Candidates are needed to emerge in the single exam to 3 hours period with no break. Most centres are situated outside main city so candidates have to go good distance commencing campus’ main gate for reaching examination venue. Candidates must reach examination centre minimum ½ hours prior to scheduled start of examination.

CEED Application Form can be submitted through ONLINE only. ONLINE submission is possible through accessing website www.iitb.ac.in/gate . Fee for online application is Rs. 950/- (Rs. 475/- to SC/ST/PD candidates) which is non refundable.
