GMRDS Chief Chemist & Director Jobs Vacancy Recruitment 2011


GMRDS Requires candidates for the post of Chief Chemist & Director for its petrography and mineral Chemistry Laboratory, Gandhinagar

The candidate is expected to possess
a) Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Inorganic or Analytical Chemistry from a reputed institution or Ph.D in Inorganic Chemistry with at least five academic papers in reputed journals.
b) Age: not exceeding 45 years
c) Experience: At least 5 years experience in analysis of rocks, minerals and ore samples in a reputed laboratory at a responsible position. Experience of latest analytical techniques, especially XRD, ERF, DTA/TGA, SEM, BET, SIZER & AAS and Exposure to national and international standards like BIS, ASTM, DIN and ISO is required. Experience will be relaxed upto 2 years in case of Ph.D candidates.

d) Desired Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, proficiency with computer 
and web applications, sufficiently skilled to conceptualize and analyze new ideas in geochemistry. Knowledge of English and one Indian Language is must.

e) Other expectations : The candidate should be able to provide leadership to the team of 40 
technical persons.
f) Monthly Remuneration: - commensurate with qualification and experience, he will also be paid performance bonus upto 15% of annual remuneration.
g) Insurance: The selected candidate will have to obtain suitable life and health insurance polices for self and family. Gujarat Mineral Research & Development Society will not re-imburse such expenses.
h) Reporting He will report directly tot the CEO of GMRDS.
(i) Duration of the Assignment
Initial assignment will be for a period of three years provided he successfully achieves mutually agreed annual work plan

(j) Travel Expense
While on tour, accommodation upto three star hotel and a fixed per day allowance will be reimbursed

(k) Leave
The society will provide paid leave upto 12 days per year.

(l) Termination of Contract
The Contract can be terminated by either side after giving one month notice or in lieu of notice, one month remuneration. There will be no need to specify any reason for termination of the contract
