IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Reference Commission’s Advertisement No 4(11) / 2010 for recruitment to the post of Homoeopathic Medical Officer in W.B. Homoeopathic Health Service under the Deptt. of Health & Family Welfare, West Bengal.
It is notified for information of the candidates that a Multiple Choice Objective type Preliminary Written Test comprising one paper will be held in Kolkata on the 22nd January, 2011 from 3-00 p.m. to 4-30 p.m. The question paper will contain 100 multiple choice type (objective) questions and each question will carry 2 marks.
The syllabus for the said test is given below : -
1. Pharmacy
2. Organon & Homoeopathic Philosophy
3. Pathology, Anatomy & Physiology
4. Materia Medica
5. Obstetrics & Gynaecology
6. Surgery
7. Community Medicine
Admit Cards indicating Roll nos., venue and programme of the P.W.T. have already been sent to the eligible candidates by post. Such candidates, who will not receive the same by the 18th January, 2011 may contact in person at the Commission’s office at 161-A, S.P.Mukherjee Road, Kolkata-700 026 on any day, from 19th January to 21st January, 2011 in between 11:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. with satisfactory evidence in support of submission of the application for the aforesaid post. About West Bengal

Sir William Jones (philologist) established the Asiatic Society in 1784 for promoting oriental studies. People like Ram Mohan Roy, David Hare, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar and William Carey played a leading role in the setting up of modern schools and colleges in the city. The Fort William College was established in 1800. The Hindu College was established in 1817. In 1855 the Hindu College was renamed as the Presidency College.
