VIT University invites application for the following: 

1) Budget Officer 

Location - Vellore

Job Description:

Manage growth with financial prudence. Create financial plans inline with the growth strategy, for the short, medium and long terms. Help with university objectives and risk management. Setup and improve processes, procedures and practices for efficiency, transparency and sound financial health.

Secure funds and working capital from India and abroad. Identify opportunities to reduce interest burden. Prepare project proposals for funding and investments.

Liaise with Banks and funding sources for working capital, term loan, forex etc.

Implement robust financial processes and systems.

Prepare financial budget, checks and balances at the university level.

Consolidate accounts across multiple campuses.

Use MIS and ERP software for automation.

Oversee income tax planning

Maintain good relationship with government, financial institutions, lenders etc.

Ensure statutory and regulatory compliances.

Skills, Experience and Qualification:

10 years or more of post-qualification experience in Financial Management of medium to large entities.

Experience in managing finance officers and accountants.

Must be skilled in finance, accounting, budgeting, planning, strategic thinking, direct and indirect taxation, audit etc.

Experience in fund raising highly desirable.

Expertise in income-tax law, company law, FDI regulations and foreign contribution regulations highly desirable.

Expertise in education regulations and trust laws are a plus.
