WBJEE JEM Joint Entrance Exam Date Form Eligibility Pattern Dates

WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEM) is conducted by WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS. The entrance exam is conducted to get admission to undergraduate courses. ICET is conducted to normalize the eligibility of students who are being qualified from various universities in India.  This examination is conducted for the selection of candidates for admission in state collages.
Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility criterion for candidates who applying JEM must be satisfy following conditions,
1. He/ She must be the citizen of India.
2. Must have to pass HSC or equivalent examination and
3. He/ She at least 17 years as on 31-12-2011
Additional criteria for Marine Engineering course is candidate must be below 25 years as on 31-07-2011.
Selection Criteria for JEM:
The general candidates must have to score aggregate 50 % marks and for SC/ST candidates must have to score at least 40 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. They also have to score 30% marks in English (for all categories). Besides that, the candidate must be score passing marks in the subject individually including vernacular or any other 5th subject. The candidates who are visually handicapped and hearing disablements are not eligible for preferential admission quota.
Examination Pattern:
The question paper in the JEM exam are generally based on Mathematics (100 Marks), Physics (50 Marks), Chemistry (50 Marks), and Biological Science (100 Marks).
Reservation: 
The candidates belong to the SC, ST, and PC. Casts are having reserved seats as per the State Government Rule.
General Information:
Candidate must satisfy the following two conditions to admit in Government colleges or Private colleges of Engineering, Technology, Medical and Dental that
1. He/ She must reside in the West Bengal state from last ten years.
2. His/ Her parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal.
