N O T I C E: PH.D. ADMISSION 2011
The Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. Program of the Department under new Ordinance (VI‐B) from eligible candidates.
The required essential qualification shall be as per norms fixed by BRS(Arts). The procedure for admission shall be as under:
(1) The last date for submission of completed forms 25th February 2011
(2) The date for Admission Test—01st March 2011 from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
(3) The date for interview –01st March 2011 from 2.00 p.m. onwards.
If need be interviews shall continue on—2nd March 2011.
The candidates are expected to be conversant with all areas of Philosophy covered under Compulsory papers of M.A. (Philosophy) course of University of Delhi.
The application forms shall be available w.e.f. 3rd Feb 2011 between 10.00 a.m. 1.00 p.m.
About DU
The University of Delhi is a central university situated in Delhi, India and is funded by Government of India. Established in 1922, it offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate level. Vice-President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari is the Chancellor of the university. It has been ranked 371 in the whole world in the year 2010 by the THES - QS world universities ranking.[2] The university has two campuses, namely north campus and south campus in the northern and southern part of the city respectively. The north campus is well connected with the yellow line of the Delhi Metro. The station is called Vishwavidyalaya, which means "university" in Hindi and Sanskrit. North campus is about 2.5 km from Delhi Vidhan Sabha and 7.0 km from ISBT.
