About Mahmaya Technical University
Mahmaya Technical University (MMTU), was formed on 1 May, 2010 on the bifurcation of the erstwhile Uttar Pradesh Technical University.[3] The university affiliates the colleges lying in the Meerut, Saharanpur, Agra, Aligarh and Moradabad regions from the academic year 2010-11 onwards.[3] Incidentally, none of the government funded engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh lie in this region. The university retains the Noida office of the former UPTU, located at C-22, Sector-62, Noida.
Till now, the university remains only on paper and functions are still being carried out by GBTU
