GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:
01 Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
02 Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in this advertisement as well as on the web site www.ntpccareers.net.
03 All qualifications should be from an Indian University / Institute recognized by AICTE / appropriate statutory authority.
04 No manual / paper application will be entertained.
05 TA/DA will not be paid to any candidate for appearing in the examination.
06 Candidature of a registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment or joining if any information provided by the candidate is false or is not found to be in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
07 Candidature of the registered candidate is also liable to be rejected if registration slip along with the necessary documents is not received or received un-signed or without pay in slip or received after the closing date or registered online more than once.
08 Candidates appearing in the final year semester examination should bring their identity card of the Institution / College.

10 Candidates are advised to retain the E-mail ID entered in the online application form for at least one year. No change in the E-mail ID will be allowed, once entered. All future correspondence would be sent via E-mail only.
11 Candidates employed with Government Departments / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies have to produce NOC at the time of Interview. Please note if called for interview all such candidates need to produce NOC without which they will not be allowed to appear for the same.
12 In case any ambiguity / dispute arises on account of interpretation in versions other than English, English version will prevail.
13 NTPC reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge/ modify / alter the recruitment process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason whatsoever.

About NTPC
NTPC has been operating its plants at high efficiency levels. Although the company has 18.79% of the total national capacity it contributes 28.60% of total power generation due to its focus on high efficiency. NTPC’s share at 31 Mar 2001 of the total installed capacity of the country was 24.51% and it generated 29.68% of the power of the country in 2008-09. Every fourth home in India is lit by NTPC. 170.88BU of electricity was produced by its stations in the financial year 2005-2006. The Net Profit after Tax on March 31, 2006 was INR 58,202 million.
