Medical Officer ‘SD’
(Physician)

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
M.D/D N B in General Medicine/ Internal Medicine recognized and registered with Medical Council of India.
Experience in Cardiology and ICU/CCU is preferable.
Post No. 12
Medical Officer ‘SD’
(Gynaecology)
( Lady candidates preferred)

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
MBBS + MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology recognized and registered with Medical Council of India
(or)
M.B.B.S + Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Two years duration) recognized and registered with Medical Council of India + Four years experience in relevant field in reputed Hospitals.

Medical Officer ‘SC’
(General Duty)

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
MBBS / equivalent from a recognized university registered with Medical Council of India.
Minimum 2 Years clinical experience in General Practice / Internal Medicine / ICU / CCU in reputed Hospital.
Note:
1. The number of vacancies indicated above are provisional and may be increased or decreased depending on the actual requirement of the Organisation.
2. The above vacancies do not fall under the points identified for Persons With Disabilities.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
01. AGE limit: No maximum age limit is prescribed for the post of Medical Officer-SD(Post Nos.11 & 12). Maximum age limit for the post of Medical Officer-SC is 35 years as on 13.05.2011(40 years for SC/ST candidates and 38 years for OBC candidates). Ex-Servicemen and Persons With Disabilities (PWD) are eligible for upper age relaxation as per Government of India Rules.
02. Pay and Allowances:
Approximate salary at the minimum of the Grade as on date is as follows:
Medical Officer ‘SD’
Pay Band & Grade Pay: Pay Band Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs.6600/- + NPA + Incentive
Approximate minimum salary : Rs.49,052/-
Medical Officer ‘SC’
Pay Band & Grade Pay: Pay Band Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs.5400/- + NPA
Approximate minimum salary : Rs.39,375/-
03. The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. ISRO provides benefits to its employees such as Medical facilities for self and dependants, subsidized canteen, free transport (in lieu of Transport Allowance); limited housing facility for fresh entrants (in lieu of HRA); Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance etc.
04. Higher starting salary can be considered for candidates with exceptional merit.
05. The Department of Space has a periodical review system under which the accomplishment of the Medical Officers are assessed and those found suitable will be promoted to the higher grade as per the rules as amended from time to time.
06. Applications should be accompanied with attested true copies of certificates of qualifications/ marks sheets/experience/Certificate of Registration with Medical Council of India/ proof of date of birth, caste etc. A recent passport size photograph has to be pasted at the space provided in the application.
07. Candidates working in Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Organisations should apply through proper channel. In case they anticipate any delay in forwarding their applications, they may submit advance copies before the due date.
08. Candidates will have to produce the proof of details furnished in their applications, in original, as and when required.
09. Persons recruited for the post of Medical Officer are expected to attend to general duties including shift/emergency duties.
10. The appointees are liable to be posted in any of the Centres/Units of the Indian Space Research Organisation/Department of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required.
11. Stipulated experience, wherever applicable, will be reckonable only after acquiring the essential qualification.

12. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro Second Class Railway Fare by the shortest route from the address given in the application to the place of interview or normal bus fare, whichever is less, on production of proof of journey such as the Railway Ticket Number(s)/PNR Number(s) or Bus Ticket(s), etc. Sleeper class fare will be paid subject to production of Railway Ticket copies only.
13. The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for interview. Applications received against the advertisement will be short-listed based on the screening guidelines and those screened-in candidates alone be called for interview.
14. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates not selected for interview/appointment.
15. Applications should be submitted on plain paper with full details (to be neatly hand written or typed) in A4 size paper 210 x 297 mm, as per the prescribed format (MSWORD/PDF ).
16.The applications fully completed along with enclosures should reach to the following address on or before 13.05.2011. Filled in applications should be sent by ORDINARY POST only.

17. Applications received without the requisite information asked for in the prescribed format/without signature/without photograph pasted at the appropriate place/without attested true copies of all certificates in support of their claim for Educational qualifications, mark sheets, experience, Certificate of Registration with Medical Council of India, age & Category (SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/PWD etc.) and applications received after the due date will not be considered. Incomplete applications will be out-rightly rejected.
18. Only Indian Nationals need to apply.
19. SDSC SHAR reserves the right not to fill up any of the posts if it so decides.
