The Livelihoods Improvement Project for the Himalayas (LIPH), Uttarakhand, implemented through Uttarakhand Gramya Vikas Samiti, a Society registered under Societies Act and Uttarakhand Parvatiya Aajeevika Samvardhan Company, a Company registered under Section 25 of Companies Act. promoted by Govt. of Uttarakhand. The Project is funded by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations working against poverty and hunger the world over in support with Central Government and Government of Uttarakhand in 17 development blocks of 5 districts i.e. Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Tehri and Uttarkashi of Uttarakhand. The objective of the project is to improve the livelihoods opportunities and strengthening of local institutions through its multi-disciplinary professionals. LIPH seeks to appoint qualified and committed professional for the following positions on contract basis initially for six months probation and on satisfactory completion of probation period, the term can be extended upto December 2012.
1) Manager-Knowledge Management & Information Technologies

Academic Qualification:
Master degree in Communication or Master degree in Social Science or Master in computer science.
Work experience:
8-10 years work experience in development project/programs. Worked for 5 years in the capacity of documentation and reporting. Experience in working with technical teams on MIS design and technical support aspects. Experiences in taking up advocacy and policy issues among communities at large, SHGs, Federations, CBOs, district/state forums and beyond, using varied methods.
2) Manager-Enterprise Promotion & Capacity Building

BBA or Graduate in any discipline; and MBA with specialization in Marketing or HRD.
Work experience:
8-10 years work experience in marketing and human resources development. Knowledge of business operations, supply & value chain management. Good knowledge of methods of capacity building, resources mobilization and planning. Skills in developing business modules and management of training.
3) Manager-Social Development

PG in Social Science/ MSW in Community Development; and / or Master in Rural Development /MBA Rural Development
Work experience:
8-10 years work experience in planning and managing development programs including livelihood interventions. At least 3 years field experience in CBO/Group methodology especially in the state of Uttrakhand
4) Manager-Federation Development

Academic Qualification:
Graduate any discipline and Master in Social Sciences/and or PGDM IRMA or Xavier Institute or MBA-RD/and or Master Degree in RD /Commerce/Sociology.
Work experience:
Minimum of 6 years work experience in community development programs. At least 3 years field experience in CBO/Group methodology
5) Manager-Technical Services

Academic Qualification:
PG in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy/ Horticulture/Forestry; or Diploma in forestry; and/or MBA Agri business or allied fields.
Work experience:
8-10 years work experience in mountain areas providing technical knowhow to farmers using participatory techniques in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, forestry; soil & water conservation; energy conservation, minor irrigation. Worked with farmers on aromatic and medicinal plants including NTFP & eco tourism; Worked in designing & implementation of community based field demonstrations and its replications.
6) Manager-Financial Services

8-10 years work experience in equity, debt and venture capital products and services. Good knowledge of products/services and procedures of banks and other financial institutions. Skills in developing finance module for capacity building
7) Coordination Officer

8) Manager- Finance

Academic Qualification:
Graduate of any discipline and Inter ICWAI or ICAI or ICSI;
Work experience:
Minimum 5 years work experience in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, office administration and procurement. Good knowledge of accounting standards and chart of accounts. Good knowledge of procurement and administrative affairs
9) Assistant Manager-Enterprise Development

Academic Qualification:
BBA or Graduate in any discipline and MBA in Operations Management/Business Management/Marketing/Agri-Business/ Rural Management/and or Master in Social Entrepreneurship/ Social Science.
Work experience:
Minimum of 5 years work experience in business development and resources planning with some rural exposure especially for the mountain areas. Good knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis
10) Compliance Auditor

Academic Qualification:
Graduate of any discipline. Inter ICWAI or ICAI or ICSI.
Work experience:
3-5 years work experience in accounting and audits. Good knowledge of accounting standards and chart of accounts. At least one year exposure to SHGs/federations
* The project reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of post and change their locations advertised as per the need.
** For all Posts, age shall not exceed 42 years as on the last date of receipt of application. However, in case of deserving/outstanding candidates, the conditions of age may be relaxed. In case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, age relaxation will be permitted as the norms of the Government. Preference will be given to female candidates.

# Monthly emoluments also include other benefits such as Management Contribution towards Provident Fund, Medi-Claim Benefit Scheme, Group superannuation cash accumulation (GSCA) Scheme & Gratuity as per the scheme.
