NLC Ltd., a leading Public Sector Enterprise, under the Ministry of Coal, earning profit over three decades and poised for rapid growth in terms of Mining activities and Power generation, requires young and dynamic Medical Professionals for the following posts on tenure basis for Three years duration for its General Hospital.
1) Senior Resident
Upper Age Limit *
(As on 01-04-2011)
Should not have completed 30 Years
Qualification: Pass in MBBS with completion of CRRI with PG Degree / Diploma in Emergency medicine /General medicine / Diabetology / Paediatrics /Obstetrics & Gynaecology / ENT / Radiology /Anaesthesiology / Orhopaedics / Ophthalmology /Psychiatry and should have registered with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council of MBBS Degree and Post Gradute Degree /Diploma course.
2) Junior Resident
Upper Age Limit *
(As on 01-04-2011)
Should not have completed 28 Years
Qualification: Pass in MBBS with completion of CRRI and should have registered with the Medical Council of India /State Medical Council.
Total No. of posts : 17
* Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST & 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy Layer). Persons with disabilities are entitled for relaxation of upper age limit by 5 years (in addition to relaxation entitled to various reserved categories). Ex-servicemen and employees of PSU / Government Organisations will be considered for age relaxation, as applicable.
Method of Selection: Selection will be based on Personal Interview.

Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC) is a government-owned lignite mining and power generating company in India. NLC operates the largest open-pit lignite mines in India, presently mining 24 MT of lignite and has an installed capacity of 2490 MW of electricity per year.
A Thermal Power Plant of 250 MW capacity with linked mine of 2.25 MTPA is proposed to be set up at Bithnok in Bikaner District, Rajasthan. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 1700 crore. Ministry of Coal (MOC) has approved the AAP for carrying out certain pre-project sanction activities for Mine and Power Projects. Finalisation of FeasibiIity Report (FR) for Thermal Project is in progress. Draft FR for mine project has been received and cost-updation is in progress. Preparation of Environment Impact Assessment / Environment Management Plan (EIA / EMP) reports for the projects is under finalization. Notification has been issued by Government of Rajasthan (GoR) for acquisition of private land for the project. Obtaining mining lease from FoR is in Q process. Clearance has been received from GoR for use of water for this project from the Indira Gandhi Nagar Pariyojana (IGNP) canal. Contour Survey and Geological exploration work have been completed. Hydro-Geological Studies and Geo-Technical investigation studies are in progress.
