The large number of Oil refinery at Noonmati on the northern border reflects Guwahati recent growth and prosperity. Guwahati has numerous Coconut palms tree all its surrounding all over the city gives appealing atmosphere. The most important road is the Assam trunk road to upper Assam and Guwahati – Shillong road to Meghalaya.
