UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2011  is scheduled to be held on Sunday, the 12th June, 2011 at 45 Centers / Cities across the country. Admission Certificates (ACs) to all the admitted candidates of the above Examination have since been dispatched by Post. 

UPSC civil service commission appoints people for civil services. “Civil Services” can be distinguished in two meanings viz. A government department or service in which commission appoints individuals purely on the basis of highest merit shown in examinations conducted by it. Employee will be hired for any government body other than military service. A civil servant is one who we can say is working in any government body other than military services (although these appointed officers can/will work at military headquarters or offices. Civil services include all state government employees, but this differs from country to country. So we can say that all state government’s servant forms civil service body.
