The Gautam Buddha University, established by U.P. Act, is being developed as a University of Excellence to impart postgraduate level education in the fields of Management, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Law & Buddhist studies.
The University has a fully residential campus spread over 511 acres of lush green area with all modern infrastructure to meet academic and extracurricular needs.
Gautam Buddha University invites applications for various Faculty positions in the areas of Education:-
Qualifications:
Professor/Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor: Ph.D with 60% marks in post graduation/graduation in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. An outstanding professional, working in industry with established reputation and having made significant contribution to knowledge but not having a Ph.D. degree, could also be considered in exceptional case.
1. The applicant should have Master’s Degree in Arts/Humanities/Sciences/Commerce with M.Ed or M.A.(Education) with B.Ed with a minimum of 55% marks.
2. Ph.D. in Education.
Experience:
Professor - Minimum 10 years in Teaching/Research/Industry experience at appropriate level of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent and should have good research publications. Experience of supervising research is essential.
Associate Professor - Minimum 8 years Teaching/Research/Industry experience at appropriate level of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent and should also have good research publications. Experience of supervising research is desirable.
Assistant Professor – Minimum 03 years Teaching/Research/Industry experience good research publications are essential.
Note :
1. Research Publications must be in National/International Refereed Journals/Proceedings of the
National/International Conference.
2. Candidate not found suitable for a position may be offered lower position.
The qualification and experience prescribed above are the minimum and mere possession of the same shall
not entitle any candidate to be called for interview. The number of post at each level not fixed as flexible staff
structure is adopted in the University.
Pay Scales:
Professor:PB-4 (37400-67000 with AGP of Rs.10500/- PM) Minimum pay in the pay band-Rs. 48000 Plus AGP
Associate Professor:PB-4(37400-67000 with AGP of Rs.9500/-PM) Minimum pay in the pay band-Rs.42,800
plus AGP.
Assistant Professor:PB-3(15600-39100 with AGP of Rs.8000/-PM) Minimum pay in the pay band-Rs.30,000
plus AGP.
Gautam Buddha University offers Pay Scales & Allowances similar to IITs and IIMs, as approved and adopted by its Board of Management from time to time.

Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is a Government university in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (UP) for postgraduate education. Gautam Buddha University was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh Act (9) of 2002. The first academic session at GBU commenced in August 2008. The university is named in honour of Gautama Buddha. The university is primarily funded by NOIDA and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).
