Delhi Transco Ltd.(DTL), is the State Transmission Utility (STU) with the strategic responsibility to undertake smooth intra-state Transmission of electricity in NCT of Delhi. DTL is entrusted to build, maintain and operate an efficient, coordinated and economical 400/200KV network to meet the power demand of Delhi. State Load Despatch Centre, an apex body which ensures integrated operation of the power system within the state is also controlled by DTL. Powered by a dynamic and dedicated workforce, DTL has set high standards of performance and is profit making STU.

Delhi Transco Limited invites applications from eligible Officers for appointment to the post of General Manager (Civil),on deputation basis, in the Pay Band of Rs. 37,400-39,100(GP Rs. 10,000/-) with Central D.A. pattern and other allowances like House Rent/Accommodation/Conveyance facility/Medical/ LTC, etc. as per the rules of the Company, on usual terms & conditions of deputation issued by Govt. of India from time to time.                     

Eligibility criteria : Officers under the Central/State Governments/Public Undertakings/Semi Government/Autonomous or Statutory Organizations :-

a)  (i)  holding analogous post;

or

(ii)  with 07 years service in post in the rank of Supdt. Engineer or equivalent; and

b)  possessing degree in Civil Engineering and 18 years experience in Planning, Construction, Quality Assurance, Transmission Line Construction, Structural Design and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.

Age : Below 56 years( as on 10.08.2010)

The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is India's primary nuclear research facility based in Mumbai. It has a number of nuclear reactors, all of which are used for India's nuclear power and research programme.
BARC was started in 1954, as the Atomic Energy Establishment, Trombay (AEET), and became India's primary nuclear research centre, taking over charge of most nuclear scientists that were at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. After Homi J. Bhabha's death in 1966, the centre was renamed as the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

The first reactors at BARC and its affiliated power generation centres were imported from the west. India's first power reactors, installed at the Tarapur Atomic Power Plant (TAPP) were from the United States.

PG DIPLOMA COURSE
The PGDC in MWIT aims at imparting professional knowledge and skills with regard to processing technologies for efficient utilization of wood through conversion into engineered wood and a variety of panel materials/products viz. plywood, particle/fiber board, block board, flush door .The course also includes processing technology on bamboo mat based panel products and adhesive technology. Standardization aspects with respect to quality management and BIS certification are dealt with in details. Working knowledge on use of computers and internet is also imparted. Emphasis is given not only to theoretical background of various technologies but also practical and hands on exercises. The PGDC in MWIT is the only course of its type available in the country that has been widely recognized by the Industry. Annual intake of candidates for the course is restricted to 40.

Eligibility and Admission Procedure
Candidates possessing degree in Science/Engineering from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the PGD course. Candidates are selected from all over the country on the basis of marks obtained at the qualifying (degree/engineering) examinations by preparation of state-wise merit lists. Preference in admission is given to candidates sponsored by industries or organizations. Upper age limit is 28 years as on 1st October of the course year. Relaxation in age limit for SC/ST/OBC is as per the Government of India rules. There is, however, no age limit for sponsored candidates.

Course fee
A non-refundable Course fee of Rs.17500/- payable at the time of admission. In addition to the course fee, amount of Rs. 2000/- is to be paid as caution money and advance mess deposit of Rs. 2000 to be refunded at the time of the completion of the course. These amounts are to be deposited in the form of demand draft on any nationalized bank drawn in favor of 'Director, IPIRTI' payable at Bangalore within two weeks of issue of letter regarding selection or before the commencement of the course whichever is earlier. Candidates sponsored by members of IPIRTI Society are eligible for concession as approved by the Board of Governors.

CAMPUS SELECTION
The Institute facilitates recruitment of successful trainees by wood based industries in various parts of the country through placement process for which campus interviews are arranged towards the end of the course.
