Applications (8 copies) in the prescribed form of the University are invited from the intending eligible candidates for the post of Registrar, Dibrugarh University so as to reach the Vice-Chancellor, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh 786 004, latest by 20/05/2011 along with a Bank Draft of Rs 200/- in favour of the Registrar, Dibrugarh University, payable at State Bank of India, Dibrugarh University branch(Branch code 2051).
Pay band – Rs 37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay Rs 10,000/- p.m. and all other admissible allowances.
Minimum qualification: (i) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of (B) in the UGC seven point scale (ii) At least 15 (fifteen) years of experience as Lecturer (Senior Scale)/At least eight years as Lecturer (Selection Grade)/ Reader along with experience in educational administration Or, comparable experience in research establishment and / Or other institutions of higher education Or fifteen years of administrative experience of which eight years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
Desirable: Knowledge of financial / human resource management and other related matters connected
with resource mobilization.
Age: Not less than 50 years.
The appointment will be for a period of five years or upto the age of sixty years, whichever is earlier.

Dibrugarh University, the easternmost University of India was set up in 1965 under the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965 enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly.
