About CSIR UGC NET JRF Examination
CISR UGC NET EXAM
The National Eligibility Test ( N E T) is conducted by the National Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC), for ascertaining the eligibility for lectureship and to sanction Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The JRF was introduced in the year 1984. This is meant for the Indian nationals and will put forward guidelines for setting up basic standards for people who belong to teaching and research related jobs. Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), India, is a leading R& D organization and is stated as one among the largest publicly funded R&D organization in the world. Since its set up the organization is striving to give commendable contribution in the field of S&T human resource development. The Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) wing of CSIR has implemented various schemes for wide range of scientists in the age group of 15 – 65 years.
The NET exam conducted by UGC will include Forensic Science, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences and Applications and Electronic Science. The UGC-CSIR NET exam also includes Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences. The exam will be held two times in a year in June and December. Notification will appear in atleast 2-3 months advance in the leading employment news papers. Candidates who have applied for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) can avail the facility for five years however they have to meet the required conditions. The candidates who come under merit list in the NET will be awarded the JRF provided they make a mention of it as a choice in the application form. The successful candidates in the CSIC UGC NET will be awarded a certificate which will fetch them a lucrative career in the field of their choice as opted in the examination for scientists and lecturers.
