Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET, Andhra Pradesh)
In Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test is required for admission in various Engineering and Medical colleges. This examination is conducted early by the JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (JNU) which also known as Andhra Pradesh University. More than 4, 00, 000 students are give this examination every year. The result of the examination will be declared within 14 or 15 days after the exam.
Eligibility Criteria for the AUCET Exam:
The candidate should pass in Intermediate Examination conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education with the education scheme 10+2 with the appropriate required subjects. The maximum age limit for the examination is 22 years for Medical CET. There is no maximum age limit for Engineering CET.
Qualifying Marks:
Candidate should have to get minimum 25% mark to qualify in Admission process. No minimum qualifying marks requires for Candidates from scheduled cast (SC/ST). And limited seats are reserved for them.
Selection procedure for AUCET:
Each University has its own criteria to select the candidates. If more than one candidate gets same marks in AUCET, in such a case the scores in Mathematics/Biology is to be consider for admission for those candidates. If still persists is there than higher age is to consider and that candidate gets the admission in Institute.
Examination Pattern for AUCET:
In AUCET two different examinations are to be conducted which is depends on category of course. ‘AM’ category is for Agriculture and Medicine and ‘E’ category is for engineering students. This both categories have the two different exams. Both category exams are carried out at a same day but at different time. The pattern and subjects are varying by the category. The pattern of examination is also not fixed it varies by time to time. The expert committee of the Andhra Pradesh University is decides the pattern and way of examination.
