Prathama Bank Written Exam Pattern Sample Questions Paper 2011


Prathama Bank Recruitment Notification 

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

POST CODE-1 to - 4

The selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test and interview. All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite fee and whose applications are received in time and who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be called for a written test, which will be of objective type comprising the following.

Post Code 01 & 02 ( Officer Middle Management Scale-III & Scale- II

Objective Type Tests:

Test of Reasoning, maximum marks 50
Test of quantitative aptitude and Data interpretation, maximum marks 50
Test of Financial Awareness, maximum marks 50
Test of General English * , maximum marks 50
Test of General Hindi * , maximum marks 50
Duration: Composite Time of 2 hours & 30 minutes

Post Code 03 & 04 ( Officer Junior Management Scale-I and Office Assistant ( Multipurpose)

Objective Type Tests:

Test of Reasoning, maximum marks 50
Test of Numerical Ability, maximum marks 50
Test of General Knowledge, maximum marks 50
Test of General English * , maximum marks 50
Test of General Hindi * , maximum marks 50
Duration: Composite Time of 2 hours & 30 minutes

* Candidates can opt for either General English or General Hindi.

Note :

i) There will be penalty for wrong answers, for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. 

ii) The marks obtained in the written test will be reckoned for merit ranking. Accordingly candidates will be called for interview based on merit. Depending upon the number of vacancies only those candidates who ranked sufficiency high in the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:3 ( Three time of the number of vacancies). Mere eligibility /pass in the test shall NOT vest any right for being called for interview.

iii) Minimum qualifying marks shall be 40 % in Written Test and relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks to be provided to SC/ST.

iv) Detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in the" Acquaint Yourself" Booklet which will be sent to the candidates along with the call letters for the Written Examination.

v) Final selection will be on the basis of the ranking accorded to them in the combined performance of written test and interview for General, Scheduled Caste, Schedules Tribe and Other special category separately.


Prathama Model
 Ever since its inception Bank has closely involved itself in the sphere of Rural Development and has initiated significant innovative strategies to accelerate the pace of socio economic development and promote integrated rural development from time to time. Realising the inescapable need for being close to the rural society the bank  took the initiative for the success of micro credit development through people’s participatory programme i.e. SHGs  and a innovative tool named as “Prathama Model” was developed and implemented on the basis of Bank'’ past experiences of rural development, field work and research. 

This low cost model is a synergic combination of “Bank Officers” and “members of farmers club”. The credibility, motivation and field work of Bank  staff supported by ground level touch, leadership quality and acceptability of volunteers by rural brethren resulted in synergic and cascading effect for rural development through micro credit.
