Invitation of Application for engagement of Project Implementation Unit (PIU) staff of CBIPMP

Applications are invited by the West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) for engagement of PIU staff of the World Bank aided CBIPMP in the following posts:
(1) Procurement Specialist [1 post]
(2) Project Engineer (MSW) [1 post]
(3) Project Engineer (HWM) [1 post]
(4) Project Officer (IT) [1 post]
(5) Environment Specialist (ECAC) [1post]
(6) IT Specialist (ECAC) [1 post]
(7) Project Scientific Assistant [2posts]
(8) Project Accounts Assistant [2posts]
(9) Project Procurement Assistant [1post]
(10) Project Office Assistant (ECAC) [1post]
All the engagements in the PIU staff are coterminus with the project period (October 2010 – September 2015). All PIU staff will get consolidated salary during the project period. PIU staff engaged shall have no claim to permanent employment in the WBPCB. Last Date of receipt of application: 27.01.2011 (upto 5 p.m.).
Applications incomplete/received after 27.01.2011 (upto 5 p.m.) are liable to be rejected.

West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) is a statutory authority entrusted to implement environmental laws and rules within the jurisdiction of the state of West Bengal, India. WBPCB was constituted immediately after the enactment of the first major environmental legislation of the country, the Water (Prevention and Control of Water Pollution) Act, 1974. During its twenty-eight years of life, the Board tried its best to ensure proper implementation of the statutes, judicial and legislative pronouncements and to fulfill the needs of the people. Initially set up to implement the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, subsequently, WBPCB was given the responsibility of implementing a series of other environmental Acts and Rules.
