BHU PMT (Pre Medical Test) is the entrance test to give admissions in the different bachelor medical programs which consist of MBBS, BAMS, B Pharm and BDS from the BHU (Banaras Hindu University). Admissions for other courses like BAMS, BDS, and B Pharm is via the PMT Screening. It’s known as the toughest exams including tricky as well as concept based questions. BHU (Banaras Hindu University) is amongst the most alleged as well as oldest universities in India which offers higher education in different fields of medicine, science, engineering, literature, social sciences etc. BHU provides the medical students, some good facilities, faculty and infrastructure.

Availability of forms

Admission form for the BHU-PMT is accessible from January and applicants may collect it from campus office otherwise they may download it from its website. Candidates need to submit completely filled application form before the last date in March. The form may also be received by post through sending request letter with the demand draft via registered post.

Popularity of exam

Many students apply each year for the medical courses of BHU however as there’re only limited seats available, competition is very tough. Students need to work hard to have admissions in the University.

Eligibility criteria

Candidate need to pass the 10+2 exam or equivalent having PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum 50% marks total for general candidates as well as 40% marks for candidates of SC/ST/OBC. For the B. Pharm course the candidate must have minimum of 60% marks for general candidates as well as OBC candidates or 55% marks for SC/ST candidates. Those appearing for the class 12 in the current year may also apply for the exam. Also the candidate must be between 17 to 25 years age.
