Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following posts in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi:

1) Registrar
Total Number of posts: 01
PB-4 Rs.37400-67000 with G.P. of Rs.10000/-

Essential Qualifications:
1. A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale. 2. At least 15 years of experience as Lecturer (Sr. Scale)/Lecturer with eight years in Reader’s grade along with experience in educational administration.
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.
OR
15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

2) Librarian
Total Number of posts: 01
PB-4 Rs.37400-67000 with G.P. of Rs.10000/-

Essential Qualifications:
1. A Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Sciences / Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record.

2. At least thirteen years as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years’ experience as College Librarian.

3. Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work.

4. Deputy Librarian completing service of three years in the AGP of Rs.9000/- and otherwise eligible as per the API scoring system and PBAS methodology developed in the UGC Regulation, with a Ph.D. qualification shall also be eligible to be considered for appointment to the post of Librarian.

Jawaharlal Nehru University, also known as JNU, is located in New Delhi, the capital of India. It is mainly a research oriented postgraduate University with approximately 5,500 students and a faculty strength of around 550. The university was established in 1969 by an act of parliament. It was named after Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, and was founded by, Indira Gandhi (Nehru's daughter) with G. Parthasarathy as its first-Vice-Chancellor.
