Applications are invited from the citizens of India for the following posts:-
A. Assistant Professors (Oral Health Sciences): in the Pay Band of Rs.15600-39100 (P.B. -3) + Grade Pay Rs.8000/- with minimum pay of Rs.30,000/- + NPA
1. Prosthetics and Crown & Bridge Work (One Post - UR):
2. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (One Post - UR):
Qualification & Experience: MDS having 3 years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty concerned after obtaining the qualifying postgraduate degree i.e. MDS.
B. Assistant Professors, Stem Cell (Non Medical) (Two Posts - UR)
Under the project sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), (posts likely to continue) in the Pay Band of Rs.15600-39100 (P.B. -3) + Grade Pay Rs.8000/- with minimum pay of Rs.30,000/-:
Qualification & Experience:
(i) Postgraduate Qualification e.g. Master's degrees viz. M.Sc. in Biological Sciences like Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Molecular/Biology/Bio Sciences/ Physiology/Organic Chemistry/Zoology/ Botany.
(ii) Ph.D Degree in the subject concerned/allied subject of an Indian University or its equivalent Ph.D. Degree from a Foreign University recognized as such by the University Grants Commissions.
(iii) 3 years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Ph.D. Degree.
C. Consultant Dietetics: (One Post - UR) Group A:
In the Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/-:
Qualification & Experience: Essential:
i) Postgraduate diploma in Dietetics - OR M.Sc (Food & Nutrition) -
OR - M.Sc in Dietetics.
ii) 10 years of experience of hospital kitchen management with minimum of 5 years
experience of heading Dietetics Department of Postgraduate Medical Institute.
Desirable: Ph.D in Human Nutrition or Therapeutic Dietetics.

A demand draft of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates) should be attached with application downloaded from our website, towards non refundable application fee. Incomplete application and the application received after due date i.e. 19.03.2011 will be summarily rejected.
The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named �Nehru Hospital� on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab. After the reorganization of the state, the administrative control of the institute passed on to the Union Territory of Chandigarh in November 1966.
