The National Board of Examinations invites applications for filling up of 5 posts of Assistant Director (Medical) in the scale of pay of Rs. 15,600-39,100 plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400 plus NPA. Out of these 5 posts, three are unreserved, one for SC and for OBC category. The National Board of Examinations is an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India, established to conduct Post-graduate Examinations of high standards in the field of Modern Medicine at the National level. The Board invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for the following posts. All the posts are temporary but likely to continue.

DIRECT RECRUITMENT

1. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (MEDICAL) – Five Posts (3 Unreserved, 1 for SC and 1 for OBC category)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- plus NPA

Age Limit – Not exceeding 35 years (Relaxable for Govt servants by 5 years in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt from time to time). The age limit shall be applicable as on the last date of receiving of applications.

Educational Qualifications – (1) A recognized medical qualifications included in the First or Second Schedule of Part II of Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956.

Desirable – Some Training in medical education technology and/or knowledge in the modern evaluation techniques including generation of MCQs, MEQs analysis of performance of the candidates etc.

Note – i) The above posts carry usual allowances as applicable to the Central Government employees and also other benefits like LTC, Gratuity, Pension including Family Pension, Group Insurance, C.G.H.S. facilities etc. as per Central Govt rules as applicable for autonomous organizations. The employees of the Board are not entitled for Government Accommodation under the General Pool of Government Accommodation.

ii) Applicants in Government/autonomous and semi government institution should have their application routed through their employers.

iii) The Board reserves the right to conduct written, trade test as well as interview for selection of candidates.

iv) Possessing Computer skills (word processing/internet) is essential and non-negotiable.

The applications containing the name, date of birth, age, educational qualifications, experience, present post held, scale of pay and basic pay/grade pay etc. alongwith attested copies of supporting testimonials should reach the Executive Director, National Board of Examinations, IInd Floor, NAMS Building, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-110029. The envelope containing the application form should be superscribed as ‘Application for the post of Assistant Director (Medical), NBE’. Those candidates who had applied for the post in response to earlier advertisements should apply afresh.

The last date for submission of the applications is 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.

National Board of Examinations (NBE) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health, Government of India, and established in 1975 at New Delhi to standardizing postgraduate medical education and examination in India. The postgraduate degree awarded by the National Board of Examinations is called the Diplomate of National Board (DNB). The list of recognised qualifications awarded by the Board in various specialties and super-specialties are approved by the Government of India and are included in the First Schedule of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
