Central Board of Secondary Education 

Central Board of Secondary Education is a High syllabus Education wing in India which is governed by Central Government. The Board was successfully set up in 1962, after much reconstruction board has formed. The aim of Board is to give high and quality education to needed students whose parents are serving to central government or doing transferable jobs. Education to institutions in an effective manner and they coordinate exams are the one of the function of Central Board of Secondary Education.

Earlier Delhi Board and Central board of Education works different, the board then reconstitute with central board, all the educational institutions which establish under Delhi board of secondary education merge with Central board. There are now 897 Kendriya Vidyalas, 1761 government schools, 5827 Independent schools, 480 Jawahar Navodhaya  Vidyalas and 14 Central Tibetean Schools. The Board has different regional offices in the country to look after each zonal school i.e. in Ajmer, Chennai, Allahabad, Guhawati, Panchkula and Delhi. The head office looks after the regional Offices and the regional office look after other offices abroad. Board conduct exam for tenth standard the All India Secondary School Examination and for twelveth standard the All India Senior School Certificate Examination. Primary functions of Central Board is to update the syllabus and questions of examination, Certification to those students who passed out from board schools, taking full responsibility of of those students whose parents have transferable jobs, Conducting seminars, workshops and full training to teachers who understand mental conditions of students and teach them in job oriented manner. Nowadays online education has become much popular it helps them to cover according to their topics; they get enough time to download the topic for preparing the exams.

Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the grading system from 2010, over lakhs of students appearing for board exam from this year marks system has replaced. From 2011 grading system will be their but board has decided those who want to write board exams they can opt for it. Changes are taking place in every field in order to take advancements in the society that too happens in education sector also.
